About the Author
Dr. Kidder is a social worker with 40 years experience working with family caregivers. She has witnessed the burden of caregiving borne by many families. However, the struggles of caregiving are only part of the experience. There are also beautiful benefits to share. Her path toward understanding the Gift of caregiving was traveled with her husband Tom and her son Daniel, as they cared for her mother, Shirley, in the last few years of her life and shared the benefits of caregiving.
